Its a combination of both. Activities, practical expereince are definetly the most important criteria. Ok u must have the brain but still if you do somethign regularly, exercise regularly, it definetly is going to help you sharpen your skills. Even a mentally retarded person can get over his limitations by proper training and conditioning. So I think having an intelligent mind is important but exposing yourself to situations and actions which develops your intelligence is equally important. otherwise you will become stagnant
